QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCE DETERMINATION: I. Education: Bachelors Degree in a medical related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered. II. License/Certifications: RN, or AHIMA certification, or CPHQ preferred III. Experience: - a. Minimum three years clinical, coding and/or relevant healthcare experience.
- b. Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, disease processes and prescription drug names sufficient to clearly understand the content of medical records is preferred.
- c. Proficiency with chart review, abstraction and medical management of the acute care population.
- d. Understanding of hospital processes and the systems involved in the delivery of patient care is preferred.
MAJOR FUNCTION: Responsible for all the functions related to Quality Performance Measures data abstraction management. |
